Vít Krejčí

Born in the small village of Strakonice, Vít Krejčí started playing basketball for the Czech team Sršni Písek. At the age of 14 he transferred to the Spanish club Basket Zaragoza 2002. At the age of 16 he made his debut in the Spanish basketball league. In February 2019, he played for the Czech national team for the first time in a home game in Pardubice against Bosnia. In November 2020, Krejčí was drafted in the second round at 37th overall by the Washington Wizards but was then traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He became the fifth Czech to break into the NBA. Young gun, being 21 years old, he is a big prospect for Czech basketball.

 

In 2023, The Atlanta Hawks acquired guard Vít from the Oklahoma City Thunder, in exchange for Maurice Harkless and draft considerations
