Founded in 1946, formerly known as MBK Rieker Komárno, the city club has a rich history. Made it into the top Slovak league in 2000, BC Komárno is a solid part of Slovak basketball since then. In the season 2014/2015 they won the Eurovia Slovak Basketball League and went to the finals in the Slovak Cup.
